These are hand-cut shapes, and the material used is polyvinyl chloride [soft -PVC], often used to make Yoga Mats.

The idea behind using shapes and tones of grey is to experiment with whether I can express musical patterns on a visual board.
I am attempting to derive a unique shape for each note of music. This is just a documentation of the attempt, hence it is not accurate.
In the next documentation, I shall have 12 notes - Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, kRe, kGa, tMa, kDha, kNi - and shall try to have unique shapes for the following notes.
The background color can change according to the Raag that is being played or sung. Since each raga evokes a mood, I will be exploring which color scheme I use to highlight the mood of the raag.
Do you have suggestions for me? Please write them in the comments
Well tried, the visual representation of sound or music with different angled triangle interesting...! Hope you can get some reference in raag mala painting and also Russian artist kindensky's abstract.
